Nice area, and nice and clean toilets and cooking room.
But be aware, this is a VERY frindly dog camping, so there are many dogs. And in the tent area there suddenly was some arrangment with the dogs (agility like), so we could not drive out/in when we wanted, but had to wait for the dog to be finished. Only a few minutes, and no big problem, but still annoying. And this was 2 days straight....
And there was party going on late, and no camping employee came to stop the noise.
We drop in here for lunch in the summer time. Half of Olofstrom seems to come up for lunch! Cheap, good home cooked food. Pleasant surroundings, nothing fancy, all good, down to earth stuff. You will need Swedish, but English is mostly understood.
Very greedy camping. Only camping of many that has charged us double price. Been 3 people in a car we opted for two small tents 1 and 2 persons. All other campsites has charged as if we had one big tent which would of course take up the same area
It can be said that the campsite had good facilities and the beach was good but obviously be aware that they don't follow standard camping price models. Paying at checkout this might be difficult to predict so check the price carefully in case you go here anyway.
I was here 35 years ago.... was great... now.... not so much... in principle the camp site is ok... but the shower is awful, restaurant closes at 19:00 and the management is awful ... you feel they just want to make money and do no work... i would camp Off site and go there to swim ... we indicated we would stay 2 nights and left after 1... they wanted to charge 2 anyway.... " this is what Management told them to do"... wow.... 😡
Beautiful campground right in the middle of a nature reserve. But incredible bad choice to do mayor ground renovations over a whole week (our holiday) in middle July. Who wants to wake up every morning at 7am from 2 big baggers renovating the beach and big wheel saws cutting on asphalt right beside the tent/caravan.People understand necessary maintenance like grass cutting. But mayor renovation during the main season? When I can not hear the birds in the morning due to baggers and can not sleep in the evening due to screaming danes close to midnight where the owner does nothing, the nicest facilities simply don't matter. Remark, for a whole week!
Had lunch with guys from Volvo company, which was good. The area is beautiful, nice camping site at a beautiful lake!
Never camped there but have heard a great number of recommendations
The place and the house were all okay, however make sure you arrive before 21:00pm or there will be no one at the reception. Tried to contact the personnel via their telephone number, but it was all pre-recorded voice message, telling me to try and contact them via their website (which is pointless). So my advice to all of you who are planning to visit this place in the future is to try your best to go there before 21:00 or you might have problems finding a person who works there.
